...love the 'hands-on-hips in a beret' pic...good to see others from that 'shoot'... and the red-white-blue pic is great! The one where she is signing the plane, I assume...great as well...love her signature...it's so bloomin' GINGERY!!! :-)
Well, it still boggles the ol' noodle that there are SO many Ginger pics out there... but good to know, right?
Yes those pics are cool, but the ones I really like from this bunch is the first and last pic. I think they look so cool!!! And it's still amazing how there are still ginger pics around. After I did this post, I already found some awesome ones that I can't wait to share. :) Have a awesome and gingery Saturday!
This is a wonderful series of pics of Ginger Rogers! I was going to say which one was my favorite but I can't pick just one. Is that Ginger in the picture of the couple dancing after the Yam series? Do you have any details about that one? I think I'll go take another look at them all. Thanks for sharing :)
Glad you like them! For me it's always hard to pick which one, so I really don't have a favorite. Yes that pic is Ginger. I got it off from ebay, but that was a while back and I don't think they have it anymore. Usually when I get the pics off from ebay I don't pay attention to what it says(I should!). It looks like it's from the 1940s, but I'm not sure who she is dancing with. Have a great day!
...I was going to 'inquire about that one a bit as well, but I'd say it is her...I think her hair in that one is throwing me off a bit... would be nice to have more info on these...
the yam series is available as a negative in Jerry O'Linger's store in NYC, they have a website i think and will take over the phone orders, i have a copy of it also :) some lovely photos so nice to see some photos of Ginger that haven't seen before, it always amazes me how many 'new' phots there are to come accross although i love the photos of her and Fred best and only rarely do i seem to find 'new' ones of them anymore :/
That's pretty awesome, see New York is one of the places I would like to go. Even though probably most places she was at are gone, there has to be some buildings left over. I wouldn't mind having the negative of that, it would be cool.
It always amazes me how many Ginger pics are around. If you like them, you are welcomed to save them, in fact that was my main goal when I started my blog 3 years ago. Basically share Ginger pics! But now I share other stuff and even have a Ginger collection series going on. Have a great week!
What was The Alvin Theatre where Girl Crazy was performed is still there although nowadays its The Neil Simon Theatre, i've never been out to Long Island to see if anything remains out there though, really should someday :)
I love how many photos are around may they keep turning up!!
