BTW my Birthday cake was epic! I had a pic of Ginger on it, but once when I saw the cake I was so shocked how awesome it came out! Unfortunately we had to eat it and now there's nothing left of the cake except for two small pieces. But here's a pic of it anyways!!!

Well, sorry I haven't been on for AGES! The computer had caught a virus, and then I had to use my mom's IPhone, but that was very hard. So now I am using a laptop! Sorry I'm saying this very late, but hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. For Christmas I got lots of goodies, and most were GR ones. Although I think my most prized present is the huge Barbie doll of her. IT'S SO AWESOME!!!!! Nice collectible too. And the other things are a Films of Ginger Rogers book which has TONS of pics I've never seen before, the Ginger Rogers and the Riddle of the Scarlett Cloak. The original 1942 book that was written by her mother. I read that thing in one day, it kept you on the edge of your seat cause of all the suspense. And of course GR is the main character. Then I got little postcards and that kind of stuff of Gingery things. My mom gave me really pretty vintage earrings, and purses. I love them a lot, the earrings are pink and really cute!!! And that is mainly it.

Also New Years was fun!!! Hopefully 2010 goes smooth. And btw, I heard(from Jwalker) that GR is the star of the month in March!!! I think it's so cool. Even though I've seen all those films, I'd love to watch them. And I can get Professional Sweetheart back on the dvr BECAUSE my MOM had to DELETE it! It was an accident, but she is glad that it is back on now and says she doesn't feel guilty anymore.

Another thing. Have any of you heard of that Broadway play "Backwards and in High Heels"? It was a play back in 2007 that was about Ginger's whole life. Well, now they have it again...only one problem is.....it's only going to be shown in L.A.. ANNOYING!!!!! : ( Hopefully someday I can see it though..........)

Well I hope everyone has a great weekend. But soon I am going to audition for a musical at my school. It's called "Into the Woods". And I'm so nervous. Auditions will be going on Feb.8th and 9th. The song I will sing for auditions is Let Yourself Go. You know, from Follow the Fleet. Ya, but it's just so nerve wrecking!!! I signed up for Feb. 8th at 3:05. Up there with the first few people.... So hopefully I'll get the part I want the most!!!! BTW my birthday is coming up. On Jan. 27th. Can't wait for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!(I know I did!)

I have about three things to point out to you though:(And #3 is the best!)

1. First of all, what is going on with the official GR website??? Nothing has been updated since 12-18-08 about the paperdoll book. I mean, they do have the showtimes updated, but what about everything else!? That website has become so boring now, and for it being "official", why aren't there any "super rare" photos??? They're all photos from GR's book practically.....But you know whatever................

2. Second of all, I've decided to join the club on Hat Check Girl. Seriously that film MUST BE SHOWN!!! I can't believe that TCM hasn't shown it to the die hard fans of GR. So I went ahead and put a comment on the film begging them to play it. Hopefully they will show it someday for us.

3. And last but not least, something very interesting. Today I was searching on google some GR stuff, and came across this:http://sps.k12.mo.us/mann/Photo%20Gallery/Famous%20Missourians/Famous_Missourians.htm.

I think it's very interesting. In Missouri, some school had fourth graders do a awesome project. It was where the kids had to research famous Missourians, and design a poster with pics and saying 3 reasons why they should be voted in The Hall of Fame. And you know what? One girl had chosen.....GINGER ROGERS. When you check out the page, it's the last group under Mrs. Grant's fourth grade class on the left. The girl has blonde hair all curled like GR with a pic of the poster and some items, and movie boxes. When I saw this, I was thinking how lucky they were! I wish the schools could do something like that here.................

MY DRAWING

Sorry for not being around lately!!! Although I do have something to share with you all!

Last night I was really bored and didn't know what to do. Then I felt like drawing something. I went downstairs to the computer and drew a picture of Ginger Rogers. I am a really good at drawing, and so I try to draw real people. Before it used to be drawing cartoon people, but now I want to draw real people. Ever since I went into art class this year, I know how to draw real things, because before I never wanted to try it, but I like drawing like that now!!!

So once when I was done, I was like, OMG!!!! It was the best Ginger Rogers drawing I've ever done!!! It looked almost exactly like her!!! I was so excited!!! After that I showed everyone my picture. Then I posted it on Facebook and Myspace. I was really happy, and I finally actually did teeth good!!!

My Ginger Rogers Website

I have made this website five months ago. Some people have seen it and said it's really good. I'm glad!!! I usually update the section where it has the next showings on TCM. I'll be updating that section at the end of October. Here's the link :http://herolink7.tripod.com/

Oh on my theatre project we got into groups and started working on my script. Tonight though, me and my mom went to Hobby Lobby. Looked around and then got the fabric for my cape,(part of theatre project)and we went to the section that had different signs. I was talking to my mom and all of a sudden I glanced and saw "Remember, Ginger Rogers" then I looked at it and found the saying "Remember, Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, but backwards and in High heels." I was shocked finding that there, so I got my mom to buy it. Somehow I need to find a space to put on my wall.... I have a lot of classic movie stars on my bedroom walls. If only I could find a place...............

Theatre Project

I haven't been on here that much lately because of school. It's been really busy the past few weeks. Especially last week since it was the end of the first six weeks. Although I do have something to share with you. In theatre yesterday we started a project called Original Character. First we must create our character to act out. Then we have to start Improvisations in front of the class, and after that make capes to show about our character. The final thing is get in a group and make a short scene. It is going to be FUN!!! But the main thing I would like telling you about is the character. My character is sort of based on Ginger Rogers!!! : D

Instead of Ginger, my character's name is Dolly. I got the name from Ginger's play Hello Dolly!, and I also have my character have almost the same things like Ginger. I think it's a good idea!!

Although I do wish my theatre teacher could create a project where we can act like someone famous that we like. Then I could act like Rockstar!!! YAY!!!

*Rockstar is Ginger Rogers. Someone on the TCM reviews called her a rockstar. I believe it too!!!
